How Costume Rental Works
Five steps, no online checkout, no delivery. The process is built around one thing: the costume gets tried on before it leaves.
1. Call or WhatsApp
Tell us the item, the performance date and the dancer's measurements. We confirm availability while you are on the line. For anyone travelling from outside Kochi this step is not optional — it turns a speculative trip into a confirmed appointment.
2. Visit the Studio
Pottakuzhi – Mamangalam Rd, Vaduthala, open Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Bring the dancer if you can, plus anything you already own — salangai, jewellery, a costume you want matched against.
3. Fit It Properly
The dancer tries the costume on and we check it in movement, not standing still. Ornaments are matched to the costume under light. A solo fitting takes about thirty to forty-five minutes; group bookings take longer.
4. Collect
Collect on the agreed date, usually a day or two before the performance so it covers your dress rehearsal. Everything is checked against a list before it leaves, so nothing is discovered missing at the venue.
5. Return
Return on the agreed date. Do not wash it — cleaning is included. Tell us about any damage; a reported problem is a normal repair.
Why There's No Delivery
Costumes fail on stage because of fit, not fabric. A delivered costume is an unfitted costume. That is the one part of this process we do not bend on, however inconvenient it is.

The Rental Process FAQs
